Thanksmas in Ruidoso

We drove to Ruidoso, NM to meet Geoff's family for Thanksmas. We celebrated both holidays since we would be apart for Christmas.

Quilt for Aubry

I finished my latest quilt project which was a throw quilt for Aubry. I think. Can't really decide what to do with it but I think it will end up as Aubry's. It's a pattern I found in a Kaffe Fassett book. The pattern is called "bottle pinwheel" and the book is called Kaleidoscope of Quilts.

Butterfly Farm

We visited the Butterfly Farm in Dripping Springs several weeks ago with Jessica and Hazel.

The butterflies were kept in a greenhouse looking building that had a small "creek" in the middle of it.

The kids were pretty excited when a turtle appeared from under the bridge. They were not interested in the butterflies at all but the turtle was a huge hit.
