Grey's 4th Birthday Weekend

Our baby boy Grey turned 4 years old this weekend so we tried to do a bunch of fun stuff for him. Our first activity was a visit to Sweetberry Farms in Marble Falls, TX. They have lots of pumpkins and lots of fun things to do. We met up with some friends, too.

Our good friends Amy, Nick, Evelyn and James. We discuss the prospect of arranged marriages between our children often =)

Aubry was protecting her lemonade from brothers and cousins.

Julia wondering how she can eat the icecream without getting rid of the lollipop...

Aidan and Grey on the goat pen.

Our next stop was Spicewood Vineyard where the adults could taste some wine and the kids could act like their uncivilized selves without embarrassing us too much. There was a very pretty creek running that the kids were drawn to.

Yummy!

Grey, Aidan and Aubry. Aidan really knows how to take a picture.

Who wants a copy of this one??? I still have it in color, too.

the Smiffs

Instead of having a party for Grey we decided to let him have a sleepover with his best friends, Aidan and Emory. We went to Phil's Ice House for dinner, a family favorite. It has a playground with this lovely cow that the boys like to climb on. Emory, between Aidan and Grey, is a very sweet boy and a wonderful influence on Grey. Once I heard him tell Grey that something naughty he was about to do was, "not a very good idea." Thanks Emory!

Icecream time! Julia, Aidan, Grey, Emory and Aubry.

Back at home the kids put little capsules in water to see them turn into dinosaurs!
Aubry partook as well.

Dino feet slippers. ROAR!!!!!

These giant balloons are very soft and the boys loved beating each other with them.

Night Night time reading Grey's newest dino book, thanks Emory!

Birthday pancakes!

Next up, family dinner! Nana and Aubry read many books together.

Jessie gave Grey some terrific toys for his birthday including these real-looking insects. Today when Aubry discovered the roach one she nearly started crying in fear! Ha!

Grey's dino cake that Tina made for him. She is the official Smiff family cake maker. Is this not adorable???

Happy Birthday Greybee! We love you!

You are right; I would love a copy of the circle of the four kids in color; also the one of your family by the pond. What a great blog and wonderful way to keep up with your family. Love, Nana

Wow, what a wonderful birthday! I love the day trips and sleepover idea as opposed to an official party. The dino slippers, books, and cake are great. That cake is especially awesome! Looks like a fun time all around. Yay!
